Something we just can’t seem to put down is the newest electronics kit, Kid Inventor Series! For older children (7 through adult), the kit has lots of pieces and instructions for all sorts of neat things to build. There’s no wires, no tools needed…take a look and see what we mean!

We’ve got Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends! Made by Learning Curve, these trains are bright, durable, and sure to provide hours and hours of fun! We’ve even got characters from the new movie, “Thomas and the Magic Railroad”. Check out all our trains – all aboard!

Giant Steps proudly carries a full range of the Folkmanis Puppets. All are adorable and fit perfectly on your hand – one of the store favorites is this gorgeous lion! Want to see more? Click here!

Want a hat just like Harry Potter’s? We’ve got them at Giant Steps! We’ve also got birthday hats, hats for kings and princesses, alien eyeball hats, cowboy hats, and even a hat for an astronaut. Some turn into puppets, and all have secret pockets. You have to see these – take a look at our newest, coolest hats!

Or….like those glasses? We have those in stock, too! They’re called “School Boy Glasses”, and you can order them as well! They cost $3.99, and it’ll be fun to read any of the books in the series with these on!

  • Can’t figure out what book to give your child? Check out our “Find A Book” page. You can either browse through recommendations by grade level, or fill out a form to request a book choice specific for your child’s reading needs.
  • Has your child read all the Harry Potter books twice and wants something else like it? Try them on the books by Eva Ibbotson! Our recommendation is Island of the Aunts – three sisters are caretakers to a special island, where they spend their time rescuing animals that come ashore. Now they’re getting on in years and decide they need to start training their replacements, but who to get? They have no children of their own, so they decide to “adopt” three that look neglected. Two will work out perfectly, but one of the kids they never should have brought to the island at all! ($15.99 hardback)

What’s the hottest series for the younger set? It’s the Magic Tree House series, by Mary Pope Osborne. Jack and Annie have found a magical book that’ll transport them anywhere in time. The first book put them back in the age of the Dinosaurs, in the fourth book they were sailing with pirates! Who knows where they’ll end up next?!?The newest book is MTH #22, Revolutionary Way on Wednesday! Be sure and check out the Random House Magic Tree House web site, at http://www.randomhouse.com/magictreehouse. Just click on the picture of the book, and you’re there!
